Learn To Skate Program
This program is for players with limited or no skating experience. This program is designed to introduce or reinforce skating techniques.

Each class is approximately 45 minutes long, with a guaranteed smaller class size and adequate student to instructor ratio.

All skaters are required to wear an approved helmet with a full facial mask, hockey skates, neck protector, gloves, shin pads, elbow pads.

Jerseys are mandatory.

Avalanche staff has the right to move your child to another class if they feel the program is more appropriate for them.

Developmental Hockey Skills Program
This program is an introductory hockey class for children who can skate proficiently. There will be continued development of skating skills, plus basic stickhandling, shooting/passing skills as well as hockey knowledge. There will also be opportunities to play some games against other groups.

All skaters are required to wear an approved hockey helmet with a full facial mask. Full hockey equipment with a stick is required. This is available for purchase through our registration page.

Special Needs Program
This program emphasizes fun through teamwork and social interaction. The goal of this program is adapted to the level of ability of each child.
